Sir Susa Vim Perugia continues to define the technical staff and announces the arrival of scoutman Patrick Bandini at PalaBarton.
To replace a column in the role like Francesco Monopoli, here is Patrick, a native of Ravenna, thirty-one years old on June 23rd and already a lot of experience behind him as a statistics expert. Experience formed in the team of his hometown, one of the cradles of Italian volleyball. Experience started as a youth coach then Bonitta’s call to the first team as a scoutman. Two years of Super League, a season in Serie A2 and now for Bandini the arrival at PalaBarton to team up with coach Lorenzetti and all the rest of the technical staff. An opportunity that Patrick jumped at.
“I must say that I wasn’t expecting this call,” Bandini says with sincerity. “But clearly from the first words on the phone I was immediately very happy and enthusiastic. I rushed to Perugia the same day for the interview and in reality it was a very quick negotiation because when I left the PalaBarton office I had already accepted. Why? Well, because when Perugia calls you, which is one of the strongest teams in the world, and you can work with Angelo Lorenzetti who is one of the best coaches in the world, a perfect combo is created.”
Patrick’s spontaneity is entirely Romagna and therefore adds to an already tested technical staff.
“I chatted with Angelo in his office, we met, I told my sporting and non-sporting story. His requests were in line with what I had in mind for the role of scoutman which I see as an active member of the staff and a role in which the data analysis part is a real study. I also had my first impact with PalaBarton and it was a great sight, I found it very well equipped and organised. I can’t wait to start working with all the staff, I have excellent expectations, I’m here to work and improve.”
