The club led by president Pino Carbone is proud to announce the arrival of François Lecat, a Belgian spiker with great experience and international talent.
With a past in Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia, François brings with him a very high level technical background, ready to give his contribution to the roster of OmiFer Franco Tigano Palmi.
These are his first statements after joining the group to make himself available to coach Jorge Cannestracci: «I am excited to start this new adventure with Volleyball Franco Tigano. I’m here to give my best and contribute to the team’s cause. I am happy to have this opportunity which will be a great challenge for me. The qualities of the team are there and are emerging now that the group is recovering, so I hope to lend a hand with my qualities and characteristics that I will make available to my teammates. I will give everything to help save this club in the A2 championship.”
In recent years Lecat has played in the Serie A championships in Belgium and Qatar, with a one-year parenthesis, season 22/23, in Lagonegro with Cave del Sole in Serie A2. Previously he defended the colors of Peimar Calci always in Serie A2 in the 2019/2020 season, then his first experience in Calabria with Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia in Serie A1 (2017/2018) and in the two previous seasons he was a protagonist in the ranks of Calzedonia Verona still in Serie A1. In total he played 6 seasons between the A1 and A2 series, with 133 matches played (98 in A1 and 35 in A2). His list includes a Belgian championship and the Challenge Cup won with Verona in 2016
