Another Catanian returns to Sicily and does so thanks to Cosedi Saturnia Acicastello. This is Simone Orto, born in 2004, who in the last two seasons, one in A3 with Belluno and one in A2 with Ravenna, wore the libero shirt and who will now also be able to realize his dream of changing roles by moving to the spikers.
“I’m returning home after three years traveling around Italy and I’m very happy. – explains the young Orto, who adds – I wanted to get closer to home and I immediately accepted the company’s proposal. For me it was an honor to join a group of this level. Plus the change of role will be a great stimulus for me, I’ll be able to be more myself and give my best.”
This year Simone won the Junior League together with Ravenna, a competition in which he played in the role of spiker.
“Now a year of growth awaits me – adds the Sicilian player – and I will work tirelessly trying to carve out some space for myself. I am a player who doesn’t give up and I don’t give up even in moments of difficulty. I’m young, but I can define myself I’m already a team man, plus I can’t wait to play at PalaCatania, a true temple of volleyball for all volleyball players, even more so for us Sicilians.”
