On the occasion of the Yuasa Battery-Cucine Lube derby, the volunteers of the Soroptimist of Fermo, led by Paola Viozzi, will be protagonists at the PalaSavelli of the Orange The World 2024 campaign against online harassment and sexual harassment. Three moments: information stand at the entrance, explanation from the speaker before the match and entry onto the field of the teams with the orange t-shirt and the words “Do not accept any form of violence – Call 1522”.
Also this year, to say no to violence against women, Soroptimist International supports the international Orange the World campaign promoted by the UN, UN Women and the European Federation. From 25 November (international day for the elimination of violence) to 10 December (international day for human rights) there will be 16 days of activism which will see the Soroptimists of the Fermo club engaged in the creation of awareness-raising initiatives, using in all communication the color orange, symbol of a future without gender violence. Theme chosen for 2024: “Read the Signs: read the signs of cyber violence”.
The Soroptimist club of Fermo confirms its commitment to the promotion of gender equality and to the fight against all forms of discrimination and violence against women and intends to address cyber violence as part of the broader spectrum of gender violence that affects and damages women.
