An evening to remember for Verona Volley, which unveiled in the loggia of the Palazzo della Gran Guardia the preview of Opera, the special edition third shirt that the first team will wear during the 2024/2025 SuperLega season. The shirt will then be officially presented together with the other two at the event on 26 September. Wearing a unique version of the uniform was Captain Rok Mozic, chosen as a gonghist during the last performance of the Aida season in the 1913 edition.

In collaboration with the technical sponsor Macron, for the first time in its history Verona Volley has created the Opera shirt, a special edition dedicated to the Arena, symbol of this city, and available starting next December on the Club’s official circuits. highly representative uniform and also designed in relation to the collaborations that the company has started with the city’s cultural systems. Opera is reminiscent of an evening dress due to the elegant elements from which it is made, in the wake of the narrative of the city on the skin, which Verona Volley has been telling for some time.

“First of all I thank the Verona Arena for hosting us in one of the most iconic places of our city for an important moment like this – declares Stefano Fanini, President of Verona Volley – As a Club we strive every day to keep the name of Verona high and for us it is an honor to be able to reveal the preview of the Opera shirt, of which we are particularly proud because it recalls particular details and elements of the city. We are grateful for the opportunity to entrust our captain Rok Mozic, an example for our club, with the role of gonghist for the last performance of the season of a symbolic opera of the Arena Festival. This is a special evening where we combine sport and culture within a unique context.”

The one that captain Rok Mozic wore as a gonghista is a unique piece of the Opera shirt. The other two copies were created for a fundraiser which the Club will then donate to a social project.  Being the first sports shirt dedicated to the Opera, one was donated to the Verona Arena Foundation. It was collected by deputy artistic director Stefano Trespidi who met with the captain and the sports club.
