The draw for the composition of the groups for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games was held late this afternoon in Lodz (Poland, home of the Volleyball Nations League Finals), with international volleyball taking center stage from 27 July to 11 August.

The Italian national team coached by De Giorgi, in the second pot, will then face Poland (seeded), Brazil and Egypt. There will be 13 athletes (12+1 reserve) taking part in the Olympic event.

Pool A: France, Slovenia, Canada, Serbia
Pool B: Poland, Italy, Brazil, Egypt
Pool C: Japan, USA, Argentina, Germany

The formula
The twelve participants will be divided into three groups. The quarter-final pairings will be as follows:

QF1: 1 vs 8
QF2: 2 vs 7
QF3: 3 vs 6
QF4: 4 vs 5

The winning teams in the Quarterfinals will advance to the Semifinals with the following scheme:

SF2: WQF2 vs WQF3
