This morning, on the sidelines of the presentation of the partnership with Poliambulatorio Privato Centro Palmer, the Valsa Group center back Simone Anzani spoke about his return to the pitch in Piacenza and the first home match of the season scheduled for Sunday 6 October (6pm) against Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina.
“It is a partnership – states Giacomo Magrì, sole director of Poliambulatorio Privato Centro Palmer – which was born with the aim of making us known also in the Modena area. We have decided to embrace an important and historic project such as that of Modena Volley and we are happy to to be able to start a three-year journey with the presence of our brand on the playing shirt.”
“There was positive feedback in Piacenza – declares Anzani – but at the same time we must become aware of what we want to do. We had the opportunities to bring home the victory, we were not good and cynical enough. The team certainly did some steps forward, however all this is not enough to stay at a high level and therefore we need to improve especially in the final stages of sets where points count a lot. If we understand that we are a competitive team and that here in Modena we play to win, we can take some steps forward satisfactions and I think we have everything it takes to do very well. From a personal point of view I’m fine and I’m happy to be back on the pitch wearing the yellow and blue shirt, it was exciting also considering my summer vicissitudes and I will always give my best. Super League? I see Trento and Perugia above all, then there are several outsiders including Modena in an increasingly balanced championship. It will be necessary to face every match with the right mentality. Grottazzolina? Personally, it will be nice to return to PalaPanini, the home of volleyball, and I hope to see lots of people in the stands.
