Important news for the Youth Sector of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza. In the last few hours, the red and white club has in fact defined the figure of the new Technical Director of the red and white nursery: Nicola Domenico Agricola has been called to supervise the activity for the next season.

For the expert coach from Abruzzo, born in Filetto in the province of Chieti in 1957, it is a return to Piacenza: from the 2008-2009 season until 2013 he was the Head of the Youth Sector and of the Project for the Middle and Elementary Schools of the then Copra Volley Piacenza who played in A1.

The choice of Nicola “Nico” Agricola, third level Fipav and second international level coach, confirms the desire of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza to continue to focus strongly on the youth sector which has grown in recent years from every point of view, bringing , among other things, Manuel Zlatanov in the first team.

Agricola is a well-known name in the world of Italian youth volleyball: after having taken his first steps close to home, between Marche and Abruzzo (Chieti, Pescara and Fano), also leading the Chieti A1 team for three years, he started touring Italy collecting important results in Lamezia (promotion to A2), Gioia del Colle and Vibo Valentia (Italian Cup of Serie A2) and constantly taking care of both the first team and youth activities.

There are many players he discovered or trained and developed: from Galassi to Polo to Cavuto, Nelli and Giannelli in his experience in Trento, Magalini and Zanotti when he was in Verona, Piano and Massari in his first stay in Piacenza.

After five seasons in which he held the role of Youth Activity Manager of Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia as well as Manager of the Middle School and Elementary School Project, leading, among others, the Serie B, Serie C, Under 19, Under 17 and Under groups 15 in the last season he was the Manager of the Nuova Pallavolo Consolini Youth Sector, men’s sector as well as coach of the C series, Under 19, Under 17 and Under 15.
