A true Marche native at the helm of Cucine Lube Civitanova 2024/25. Coach Giampaolo Medei, born in 1973, native of Treia and fresh 2024 continental champion in the CEV cup at the helm of Asseco Resovia, takes back the reins of the red and white club. Going backwards, for Medei this is the third cycle in the world of cooking after his adventure as a head coach in 2017/18 and part of 2018/19, with six finals played, and his previous stay on the staff of the youth sector from 1994 to 2001 (Junior League victory in 2000), and then worked as a second in the first team from 2001 to 2006, winning as assistant coach of Lube 1 Scudetto, 1 Italian Cup, 1 Champions League and 2 Cev Cups.
The coach’s Palmares also includes the Cev Cup won in 2017 at the helm of Tours and the victory of the 2020/21 Turkish championship with Ziraat, but the Olympic silver in Rio as assistant coach to Chicco Blengini in the Italian national team should certainly not be forgotten .
