New arrival, but at the same time return, to the Juventus home: Matteo Pedron, setter born in 1992, will wear the Paduan shirt in the next SuperLega 2024_25 season. “I’m really happy with the opportunity I was given to play in the top Italian championship with Padova,” declared Pedron.
Born on 14 July ’92 in Padua, he began his sporting activity within the Padua youth sector, where he remained from 2007 to 2009. In the 2009_10 season came the opportunity to taste the B1 pitch with Blu College Valley vineyard. Such a positive experience that coach Luigi Schiavon also took him with him to the A2 adventure of the Club Italia Aeronautica Militare in 2010_11.
After a year in Carpi, he returns to Padua, where he plays in A2, in the season from 2012 to 2013. 189 cm tall, Pedron has been a regular presence in the second highest national category for more than ten years , playing in Matera, Castellana Grotte, Ortona, Tuscania, Lagonegro and Cuneo. The last season, 2023_24, saw him arrive at Pool Libertas Cantù.
“What is about to begin – began Matteo Pedron – will be my first season in the Super League and I am really enthusiastic and excited about this. One of the goals I have always set for myself was to one day play in the top Italian championship, so I am very happy with this opportunity that was given to me by the Juventus club.”
“My goal for this year will be to grow more and more from a sporting point of view. The level of the SuperLega is very high, I will find myself in contact with very strong athletes, within a context that will give me the opportunity to learn a lot. It will be a truly educational experience. I can’t wait to start this new adventure,” added Pedron.
