An evening to forget for Mint Vero Volley Monza: on the first day back of the SuperLega Credem Banca, Beretta and his teammates were unable to express their best game and were thus defeated in three sets (22-25; 24-26; 21-25 ) against Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina. Despite several attempts by the hosts, the Marche team – in their first victory in the top flight – always kept their head ahead, thus giving themselves three important points for the standings. MVP and top scorer of the match was the Serbian Petkovic, on the scoresheet with 18 points. For Monza only one player in double figures: the Finnish Marttila with 11 ground balls. Of note among the Brianza ranks, after almost two weeks, is the return of Rohrs, scorer of 7 points. A new opportunity to smile again is already upon us for Monza: on Tuesday 17 December at 8.00 pm the first men’s team of the Consortium will take to the pitch of the Opiquad Arena in Monza against the Turks of Fenerbahçe Medicana Istanbul for the first day back of Pool B.
