Manuel Marzorati arrives at Campi Reali Cantù for the 2024/2025 season. Born in 2001, the middle blocker from Bergamo comes from a growing three-year period in Serie B, culminating in the promotion to Serie A3 Credem Banca achieved last May with the Scanzorosciate Pallavolo shirt.
Coach Alessandro Mattiroli comments on the new entry: “Manuel is a player I faced in the Serie B years, when he played at Scanzorosciate. As for Luca Martinelli, he is a player that I know, that I have already seen and respect, and in my opinion he has excellent potential, superior to Serie B. He is another of those guys that I have followed for some time, and I am convinced that he can have some excellent prospects.”
“I didn’t expect Cantù’s call – confesses the central defender from Bergamo -. It’s a wonderful opportunity given to me: I already had an experience in Serie A2 when I was younger (with Olimpia Bergamo, ed.), but now a few years have passed. I have the chance to play in the second national category again: I will have this experience with a different mentality, and I am sure that it will be able to give me a lot in various aspects. I don’t know the Serie A2 championship of recent years well, but certainly experiencing it firsthand is something different than following it from the stands. On a personal level, I aim to grow on a technical and physical level, being able to train at a higher level and with more intensity than I have done so far, also dedicating more time and attention to it. But from now on I can guarantee that my availability towards the team will be total.”
