The red and white middle blocker department is strengthened with the arrival of a young athlete from one of the best teams in the Super League, Itas Trentino, winner of the Champions League last year. Martin Berger grew up in Sport Team Südtirol where he showed off between Serie D and Serie C, earning a call-up to the under-20 national team and a call from Trentino. The middle blocker then made the leap to the Super League and made his debut in the Champions League, confirming his qualities. Today is the first experience away from home for him, “I’ve always been in or near Trento but I can’t wait to test myself with this new adventure”, confirms Berger, who then talks about his choice to come to Macerata, “I I spoke to my agent and the opportunity of Volley Banca Macerata arose, an important team that has a city with a long sporting history behind it.
