Marco Gaggini will defend the MINT Vero Volley Monza pitch again in 2024/25. For his fourth season in the Credem Banca Super League, the libero from Varese, who grew up in the youth sector of the Vero Volley Consortium, will continue to wear the colors of the Brianza team.

Born on 7 April 2002, Marco began wearing the Vero Volley shirt already in the Under championships and in Serie B, winning the club’s first historic youth Scudetto in the Under 16 men’s category in 2018; on that occasion he was awarded MVP of the national final. During his career in the youth teams, he was also part of the Lombard selection for two consecutive years, 2016/17 and 2017/18.

The arrival in the top flight arrived in 2021/2022. In Monza, Marco immediately put himself on display, collecting a very respectable scoresheet with 27 appearances, 49 sets played between the various competitions played by the team and a perfect reception percentage of 26.2%, in a season crowned by the victory of the European title in the CEV Cup. For the 2022/2023 season Gaggini moves to the Verona area, occupying the starting libero position for Verona Volley, then returning “home” the following year. During the season just ended, “Gaggio” demonstrated that he has gained the skills and experience necessary to manage the second line of the MINT field, playing together with his teammates in the final of the Italian Cup at the Unipol Arena in Bologna, that of the CEV Challenge Cup and the final for the Credem Banca Super League Scudetto.

Next season the libero from Varese, fresh from being called up to the senior national team, will continue to defend the Monza pitch also in the top European competition, the CEV Champions League.

“I am very happy to stay in Monza next year – the words of Marco Gaggini – and to have the opportunity to compete with teams of the highest level, thanks to the qualification for the Champions League that we earned last year. I don’t see the time to meet my new teammates and discover the goals we can achieve. A hug to all the fans, see you soon.”
