Marco Falaschi, captain of Sonepar Padova, shared his impressions and sensations on the first three weeks of training for the Juventus first team in view of the start of the SuperLega season.

“These first weeks have been, as is normal, a period of recovery. – began Captain Falaschi – Some of us had had a longer break than others, so it was necessary to readjust to work in the gym. We are working a lot on the physical aspect, and we will continue to do so for a while. We are still in a construction phase, as they say, also because some guys are missing. So, in short, we have been training well in recent weeks, but it is clear that first of all we need to build the team. We will start from there to try to understand what our Championship will be like.”

The team, half renewed compared to last season, welcomed the new additions: “the team is half new, but we can also say half old, and in this we can find a positive aspect. The new guys have settled in well. They are all young and I have already had the opportunity to work with some of them. At group level, for now, there are no problems. Last year the group worked well straight away, and I believe we will continue on this path.”

Looking to the future, Falaschi expressed optimism in view of the start of the Championship and the first pre-season event, the Gubbio tournament: “the sensations are those of a team with ample room for improvement. There is a lot of work to do in the building. We are laying the foundations for what our game system, or game systems, will be. We must work on multiple fronts and consider different alternatives. There’s still more than a month left until the start of the Championship, so we have time. The season will begin immediately with four important matches: three away games in the first four days and two direct clashes. I believe that the focus will have to be on us, to understand the real potential of this team, which in my opinion is there, but we need to work.”

Pre-season commitments calendar. The joint training program of the Paduan first team will officially open on Saturday 7 September. Two tournaments and three friendly matches are the events that coach Cuttini’s team will be busy with in view of the start of the 2024_25 SuperLega season.
