The Trentino Volley Members’ Assembly, which met this evening, approved the financial statements ending on 30 June 2024 and elected the new administrative body, as the previous one had reached the natural end of its mandate.
The Assembly resolved to appoint a Board of Directors composed of three people for the three-year period 2024-2027 and unanimously elected Marcello Poli President of the Company, Fabrizio Lorenz Vice President and Bruno Da Re Director.
The new President of Trentino Volley Marcello Poli, born in Trentino in 1957, is an important entrepreneur in the large-scale food distribution sector. He is CEO of the family company, the Poli Group, which has a network of sixty-seven sales points and employs around two thousand collaborators. During his professional life he has held roles as Director in other companies in the sector and in financial companies and institutions. He shares with his wife the passion for dog breeding, breeding Irish Greyhounds. Their dogs have been successful in the most prestigious shows and won over three hundred championship titles in the world. This led him to have positions of responsibility within canine associations, at a national and international level. He approached volleyball thanks to Trentino Volley, with which his company has long consolidated an important partnership, exclusively sponsoring the libero shirt since 2014, and also entering the social structure. The interest quickly became passion, so much so that his support as a fan and his presence in the arena were never lacking, both for the men’s and women’s teams. He is the third President in the history of Trentino Volley, after Diego Mosna (2000-2021) and Bruno Da Re (2021-2024).
