On August 19th we started a long countdown. A countdown made up of entire mornings and afternoons in the gym, made up of tactical and physiotherapy sessions, made up of matches and tournaments, made up of victories, made up of sacrifices to carve out one’s role within the team. Now we’re here.
After the last victory in Mondovì in 2019, after 2017 days and 288 Sundays, the Banca Macerata Forum once again opens the doors to the Credem Banca men’s A2 championship for a season that promises to be particularly difficult and spectacular. The first opponent is Abba Pineto, a team particularly known to the people of Macerata after having already met them twice in the preseason: 2-2 in the first match in Abruzzo, 1-2 in the final of the Furiassi-Valenti Memorial last Sunday in Macerata.
The opponents’ sextet should be the one that took to the field in the last match: Catone as director with Kaisaslalo in the main diagonal, Di Silvestre and the former San Donà Favaro in place 4, Zamagni-Presta in the center with Morazzini libero. There is more uncertainty however on the Banca Macerata Fisiomed side where coach Castellano can count on almost all of his players to field the best sextet in order to earn the first points of the championship.
