Last season went a little below my expectations. In my opinion it could have gone better, but good years like 2023/2024 leave a lot of expectations. We could have done more, such as reaching the Promotion Play Offs, but we didn’t make it, and this is a cause for regret for me. However, we were a team that gave it our all and tried hard. Anyone who didn’t see us in the gym doesn’t know it, but we were a very united team, and the will has always been that (to get to the Play Offs, ed.). As a group we don’t argue.
DARIO MONGUZZI – Dario Monguzzi is a Piece of History that I will no longer find in the gym at my side as he has been for the last 15 years. For the first training sessions it will be very strange not to see him on the pitch, but I’m sure he will be in the stands to support us.
ALESSANDRO MATTIROLI – I already know Alessandro Mattiroli well, and I am very pleased to meet him again after so many years: he was my coach in the Yaka Volley youth team. It was he who “brought” me to Cantù when he was the athletic trainer, and now we have the opportunity to continue working together. I’m happy because he is a very prepared person both on a technical and physical level. Every time you change coach it’s very stimulating, and I’m sure that Alessandro will rise to the occasion, bringing out the best in each of us.
ALESSIO ZINGONI – I’m happy that Alessio Zingoni is also staying, who I believe is a fundamental piece for the team. Your confirmation is very important for us.
THE 2024/2025 SEASON – I would like to go back to playing the Promotion Play Offs, which will be very difficult because there is an extremely high level in Serie A2, and every year it continues to rise. There are very well equipped teams, which have also brought Super League players. It will be an increasingly difficult championship, but in any case more and more stimulating because I believe that Serie A2 is becoming more and more difficult to face given that the level rises every year.
THE 2024/2025 TEAM – The team is almost totally new, a new start compared to the last two years, when the group remained more or less unchanged. Now there will be a new group to build. Due to the fact that there will be many young guys, and some even making their debut in the category, I think they will be very close-knit.
