«We didn’t play as we usually do, but we still gained two important points for the standings. In the end we won this match and in my opinion this is more important than the fact that we lost a point.”

Perugia spiker Kamil Semeniuk, guest in the ReteSole studios in the third episode of “Lunedì volley”, analyzes the match at the Kioene Arena against Sonepar Padova, an away match from which the Block Devils returned home with two points and with numerous opportunities for improvement reflection to work on immediately, in view of the new championship away match, Saturday 12 October at the PalaPanini in Modena.

Sunday’s match was balanced on a pitch that has historically never been easy for Sir Susa Vim Perugia. As already underlined by coach Angelo Lorenzetti, also according to the Polish spiker from Juventus, the approach, a fundamental aspect for winning matches, was not the same as always:

«We are in a difficult period because we don’t have two important players, so we have to be careful not to overdo it during the week with training in the arena, but we still have to do something to prepare. We must certainly change the approach immediately, starting from Saturday in Modena: the approach is a fundamental aspect, if you enter the field with the right approach you can play more easily, with more energy, you’ll fire everything up and then the game will it’s going the right way.

Reflecting on the numerous direct errors committed in Padua, Semeniuk adds an important consideration: «If the ball is not good for attacking, we must have more patience and give more chances to the block-defense, before making mistakes.
