The Cucine Lube Civitanova is already in big match mode when there are still a few days left until the 8.30pm Sunday postponement which on Sunday 3 November, live on Rai Sport, will close the 6th round of the Regular Season in the presence of Sir Susa Vim Perugia at the PalaBarton. Captain Fabio Balaso is clear on the subject, in Halloween week Lube feels no fear, but a lot of respect, for the Italian and world champions. An important test is coming up for a team that has yet to get going on the road and that will have the burden of disengaging themselves against aggressive and imaginative serving opponents. Just Balaso suggests the solution: “Play our best game!”

What is your impression as captain in the first part of the season?

Fabio Balaso: “We can talk about a fairly positive balance for Lube after five games, even if we haven’t broken the deadlock yet on the road. I feel satisfied because the group is working hard, both in the gym and on the court. We are progressing and the results we want will come!”.

You are chasing the first external shot, what match do you expect at PalaBarton?

“The next challenge certainly won’t be easy! We are aware of Perugia’s great value and how they managed to cope with the absence of the starting setter in the last two matches. Let’s not forget that the Block Devils were able to achieve great things anyway, without a decisive athlete like Simone Giannelli in a key role. Going to play at Pian di Massiano is never easy, also because we are talking about a very warm stadium in terms of support in the stands. We will go there without feeling fear or any fear, but to play our best game!”.
