Roadmap respected at the Eurosuole Forum after more than two weeks of athletic preparation. While waiting for the red and white roster to finally be complete between 26 August and 3 September with the arrival of all the national teams, at home at Cucine Lube Civitanova the muscle boss, Max Merazzi, is more than satisfied with the work done and the dedication of the group in the first phase of activity. The team is suffering from the size of the loads and appears packed, but this is part of the program to prepare for the seasonal debut in SuperLega Credem Banca, scheduled for 29 September within friendly walls against Sonepar Padova.

How is Cucine Lube Civitanova’s athletic training going?

Max Merazzi: “The overall picture is very satisfying! We are doing everything we had planned, the path decided before the meeting, which is not a given. The team is committed and so far we have not encountered any problems or accidents along the way. The volume of work is considerable, but the kids respond with energy.

Poriya Hossein Khanzadeh works with the group, is the language barrier a problem?

“The language barrier is there, but it must not represent a significant limit, especially among us professionals. Poriya is an athlete who works hard, wants to integrate and has the full support of his teammates. We are used to managing players, the insertion will be gradual and will end in a positive way. These are his first days with us, we started with easy things. He shows us how he is used to managing himself and training.

The other national teams are also about to return after a summer at work and a two-week break. Will they be able to get into shape right away?

“Those who finished last season with the Club and then worked with their national team have an important journey behind them and two weeks is not a period that would ruin their form. If anything, a little rest was necessary. Some of them, despite observing several days of rest, still carried out maintenance work with weights. So I expect the boys to be rested but in acceptable conditions.

At the end of the month we will start with joint training, will we find the boys packed and contracted?

“We will find them strongly packed and this will demonstrate the good progress of the work because we want them exhausted now to be fit and on track in the crucial moments of the season. They will be full of stimuli, but overwhelmed by fatigue. The closer we get to September 29th, the more ready the team will be on a physical and technical level to play good volleyball.
