Perugia’s new middle blocker Augustin Loser arrived at Pian di Massiano and had his first sessions in the weight room, in his third consecutive season in the Super League championship, after two years at Allianz Milano.

Born in 1997, he enthusiastically comments on his first impact with the city: «I am very happy to finally be here! Yesterday I did the weight room and also today, and on Thursday I’ll start with the ball, so I’m very happy, I really like the arena and we’ve already talked a bit with the boys, so I had a very good time, I’m happy and the city too she’s beautiful!”

Loser talks about when he watched Sir matches on TV as a boy and dreamed of playing in Perugia: «at that time De Cecco was playing in Perugia and he was a representative of Argentine volleyball, so I watched a lot of Perugia matches and I thought I wanted to play there: it was a dream, then it became a goal and now it’s a reality, so I’m very, very happy, I’ve always really liked the curve and the Perugia fans”

The Argentine center back arrives in Perugia after becoming the best blocker in the Super League last season with 68 winners: «I hope to grow even more here and give everything I have to the team to win! We hope to do even more here, not to be the best, but to help the team win for all the objectives we play for.”

During his professional career he has won prestigious trophies, from the South American championship to the Argentine one, including a Cup and an Argentine Super Cup.

«I’m missing a trophy in Italy and I came here to do it!»

In Perugia Loser meets two Argentine teammates: the central defender Sebastian Solè and the athletic trainer Sebastian Carotti: «I played a lot with Seba Solè in the national team, he is a friend, we are very good friends and therefore I am very happy to play with him. I worked with Seba Carotti in my first year in the national team and Julio Velasco’s last year in the national team; he was the physical trainer and so I know him too, I’m very happy to be doing this season with them.”

At the PalaEvangelisti Agustin Loser also reunites with his former teammate: Yuki Ishikawa: «Yes, with Yuki in the last two seasons we played together, there was a magnificent connection on the pitch and also off the pitch so I’m very happy to play with him.
