Thomas Nevot was one of the seasonal protagonists of Emma Villas Siena. The French setter immediately settled in in his first year living in Italy and provided his contribution until Siena reached the playoff finals.
Tomorrow Emma Villas goes on the field to try to achieve another important goal. Starting at 7 pm the Sienese will play the return match of the quarter-finals of the A2 Del Monte Italian Cup at PalaEstra: Brescia won 3-2 in the first leg match. The team that passes the round will play the Final Four of the event in Cuneo next weekend.
However, it will be Emma Villas Siena’s last match of the season in their home stadium of PalaEstra.
“We will play an important match – these are the declarations of Thomas Nevot on the eve of the match against Consoli Sferc. – It wasn’t easy to return to the field after the defeat in the playoff final. In the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup Brescia played very well, we still managed to win two sets and this could be important. Now we are focused and want to reach the Final Four which will be played in Cuneo.”
Nevot continues: “The championship is now over and the Italian Cup is a new event that puts another trophy on the line. There is a title up for grabs and we want to try to give our best. This is a great event, let’s hope we can win this return match. Brescia is a complete team, we have always played difficult matches against them this year. They are a good team, made up of many expert volleyball players, they play well. We will have to give our best.”
The ticket to watch the challenge costs 10 euros. It is possible to purchase the ticket online on the CiaoTickets circuit. The PalaEstra ticket office will be open tomorrow, the day of the match, from 4pm onwards.
