Lele Di Ponzio is a brilliant lawyer from Taranto, he is closely linked to Gioiella Prisma Volley as an administration consultant and legal consultant.

Deputy Federal Prosecutor of the FIGC and Councilor of the Bar Association, he inherited the passion for sport from his father, a historic lawyer of Taranto football and he also experienced the emotion of defending, in front of the courtrooms, the red and blue colors under two presidencies.

It was football that brought him together with Tonio Bongiovanni and Elisabetta Zelatore, from there a solid friendship and collaboration was born that continues today.

Profession, sport and a passion as a sommelier, with a particular eye to everything that represents the beauty of life are the characteristics that distinguish the person from the lawyer; In his mandate, Di Ponzio made it a winning combination in this sporting adventure with the red and blue colours.

He is inextricably linked to the city of Taranto, and he also underlines this in the project he created together with the Presidency when the company was created:

“I experienced firsthand the rebirth of Prisma Volleyball. Tonio and Elisabetta involved me in their desire: to bring volleyball back to Taranto, but not simply to bring it back, but to do it in style.

Just one year to access the Super League, the World Champions Championship.

Taranto has been firmly among the twelve most important national volleyball clubs for four years now.

The whole city owes it to the tenacity, obstinacy and great passion of Tonio Bongiovanni and Elisabetta Zelatore.

For me, coming from the world of football, it was a discovery. So I find myself dividing myself between my profession as a lawyer, my commitments as a Councilor of the Bar Association, my further activity as Deputy Federal Prosecutor of the FIGC, with the wonderful and, at times, candid and unique, world of volleyball. ”

For the future of the team, lawyer Di Ponzio is very determined and ambitious:

“In these four years, I have a double regret: the first is having experienced the play-off final to access the Super League in an empty building, due to the health emergency; the second is from this year. Having reached the tie break so many times and lost almost all of them.

Well, it could have been another championship, but we trust and are certain that the next one will be another, wonderful story.

Taranto must be proud to represent an important team in Volleyball, with a club envied for its seriousness, passion and fairness.

This is how you do sport.”
