The president of the Serie A Basketball League, Umberto Gandini, and the president of the Serie A Volleyball League, Massimo Righi, express satisfaction with the extension of the tax credit on sponsorships, included in the omnibus law decree published in the Official Journal.
“The commitment of the Government, in particular of Minister Abodi, together with Minister Giorgetti and Deputy Minister Leo, has been decisive in supporting the sports movement and the thousands of clubs and associations that play sports in the area” declare the presidents of the two leagues. “The sports organizations we represent are particularly satisfied, this is a provision we have been working on for some time and whose extension will produce important economic benefits and social implications. We therefore thank the Government for the attention it has shown” conclude Gandini and Righi.
The tax credit on sponsorships – provided for in article 4 of the legislative decree of 9 August 2024, n. 113 – will apply to advertising investments made in favor of professional and amateur sports leagues, clubs and associations from the date of entry into force of the provision until 15 November 2024, with a maximum expenditure ceiling of 7 million euros.
