Last joint training for Volley Tricolore who today, Saturday 28 September, is preparing to face Gruppo Consoli Sferc Brescia for the 7th Sferc Città di Lumezzane trophy.
Despite the good performance, Conad is unable to impose itself and leaves the match defeated 3-2.
The two starting sextets enter the field: Reggio deploys the Porro-Stabrawa diagonal, the hammer receivers are Gottardo and Suraci, the blockers of the match are Barone and Bonola, the libero of the formation is De Angelis. Then it’s Brescia’s turn who chooses Bonomi-Bisset diagonally, the spikers are Raffaelli and Cavuto, the central defenders are Erati and Tondo, finally defending the second line is Hoffer.
The first set starts point for point, with both teams trying to extend their lead. The match continues point by point, with both teams trying to extend their lead, at the end of the set it is Brescia who push harder and therefore win the first set.
Hard-fought second set, neither team manages to find the key to gaining the lead, in fact Reggio and Brescia alternate as leaders. At the end, Brescia is once again good at putting the right gear to try to close, but Fanuli’s boys don’t give in easily, in fact they recover four set points giving the Toucans the advantage, but they are unable to impose themselves, also conceding the second set to Brescia.
The third set sees a different Conad: the Reggio players don’t give in and take Brescia to the fourth set, in fact they immediately take a six-point advantage which they maintain for the entire set, conquering it with a nine-point difference.
The last set is always fought point to point, at 13 all it is Brescia who has the mental coolness to end the match with a victory.
