The last home match of the Pool Libertas Cantù season is scheduled for Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting from 6.00 pm at the PalaFrancescucci in Casnate with Bernate. This is the first leg match of the Quarter Finals of the DelMonte® Coppa Italia Serie A2, and the opponent of the day will be Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina fresh from promotion to the SuperLega against Emma Villas Siena. A team that will therefore arrive on the wings of enthusiasm for the historic result achieved, and which will certainly give rise to a difficult challenge for Coach Francesco Denora Caporusso’s boys.

THE OPPONENTS
Coach Massimiliano Ortenzi has sat on the Grotto bench since he played in Serie C. In the control room we find Manuele Marchiani from the Marche region, in his sixth consecutive season with this shirt. Opposite is the very confirmed Dane Rasmus Nielsen Breuning, in his third championship in this team. Two new faces in the squad: the expert Michele Fedrizzi, who won the treble last season with Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia, and Claudio Cattaneo, who arrived in the summer from BCC Castellana Grotte. At the center are Andrea Canella, who spent the last 4 years in the Super League with the Padova shirt, and Andrea Mattei, who also spent his last season in the top flight with Cisterna. The libero is Andrea Marchisio, who also played in Puglia last season with BCC Castellana Grotte.
