The 2024 competitive season of Kemas Lamipel S. Croce will begin this Wednesday, January 17, with the championship recovery at Pala Parenti between the hosts and Tinet Prata of Pordenone. The match will take place at 7.00 pm and will allow us to complete the third return day of the A2 Credem Banca championship. The last match of the red and whites is dated 30 December (victory in Pineto, 3-1): the Wolves, in the 19 days available, in addition to sanctifying (more or less) the holidays, worked patiently both from a technical-tactical, as well as physical, with particular attention to the recovery of many situations that have been forcibly “neglected” in recent times. If Loreti, Mati, and Russo breathed the air of great international events with the junior representative team (Wevza Tournament), the rest of the squad trained in great serenity and this could perhaps be the only real handicap of the long break, the lack of race pace and competitive spirit. If necessary, Pala Parenti will take care of creating the right environment, with the fans rightly satisfied with the 5 victories obtained in the last 6 matches and a provisional 8th place (with two matches less than the rest of the team). A challenge of undoubted charm, the one with Tinet Prata, currently 4th in the standings (with one game less, obviously), a challenge that smells of a playoff. For now, we are referring to those of the last tournament, when in the quarter-finals coach Bulleri’s team beat the Friulians twice, at the Pala Parenti and in the return match, earning the semi-final with Tonno Callipo.
Returning to the current season, the first leg match in Pordenone marked the third defeat in a row, in as many days, for Michele Bulleri’s team (3-0). Yet, Kemas Lamipel did not disappoint at the Pala Crisafulli, indeed playing openly throughout the match and coming close to winning in a second set “conditioned”, for the final part, by an irrepressible Lucconi in attack, close to 100% . The team of Boninfante and Papi is a bit predestined for this tournament: more than positive reviews since August, record audiences, a certainly young and proactive image. And in fact the roster is truly top-notch. Direction entrusted to Alessio Alberini, ex Cantù, with opposite, precisely, Manuele Lucconi, from the Marche, ex Vibo and Taranto. At the center “mister block”, Nicolò Katalan, new record holder of blocks recorded in a single match, 14 (in two and a half sets, to be precise); it was the 11th matchday and Tinet faced Castellana Grotte at home.
