Slovenian Jan Klobucar is the new spiker for Smartsystem Fano.
Born in 1992, 195 cm tall, Klobucar adds his name to a roster already made up of elements of great depth, in short, a coup that confirms the intention of the Virtus club to play an important season and to entertain the Fano public: “I am I recently came to Fano – Jan begins – and I must say that I was impressed by both the city and the society. Furthermore, I followed the last play-off matches and I was pleased to notice how the fans followed the team with great enthusiasm and passion. These elements made my decision easier.”
In recent years the Slovenian spiker has played in his own country but in the past also in France and Italy. In fact, in the 2018-19 season Piacenza will sign him up to play a top championship in Serie A2: “I have wonderful memories of Italy – continues Klobucar – the Italian championship is of the highest level, as well as being very balanced. I’m happy to be back.”
Jan Koblucar then lets himself go, lighting the fuse: “Despite the fact that it’s only the first year of A2 for Fano – states the new player from Virtussi with determination – I want to give my all to reach the play offs and, if there is an opportunity, compete for the title . I am an expert player and I will make myself available to the team to help my teammates do the best they can.” Then Klobucar comes up with the winning recipe: “Create a positive work environment and win as much as possible to give people enthusiasm.”
In the Slovenian’s CV we remember his debut in the senior national team in 2012, then in 2015 he won the gold medal at the European League while his palmares also includes a silver recently won (2021) at the European Championship.
