Today, in the historic setting of Palazzo Caetani, the Cisterna Volley central player Jacopo Tosti was awarded as “Revelation Athlete of the Year” on the occasion of the “Invictus School” project, in the presence of the students of the Massimiliano Ramadù High School Campus of Cisterna di Latina who, during the school year, undertook a literary journey with some Lab DFG titles at its centre.
For the occasion, the new under 17 World champion also received the municipal Crest from the mayor of Cisterna di Latina Valentino Mantini. Together with a delegation from Cisterna Volley, present with the sporting director Candido Grande and the sole administrator Cristina Cruciani, the president of Marino Pallavolo, Sante Marfoli, was also present. Tosti’s growth passed right through Marino, where he took his first steps until he wore the blue shirt, starting in parallel last year, thanks to the strong collaboration between the two teams with the “together we are stronger” project, the adventure in the Super League.
“Winning a world championship was wonderful, for a success that repaid all the efforts made in these years of volleyball. Special thanks go to the Cisterna Volley and Marino Pallavolo clubs, with whom I started playing volleyball in the latter.
