We get to the heart of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games: after having passed the group stage by beating, in order, Brazil, Egypt and Poland, the Italian national team qualified for the direct elimination stage as the best team among the top-ranked teams. In the Quarter Finals, which will start tomorrow, the obstacle will be Japan, with the match starting at 1.00 pm and live on Rai 2, Discovery and DAZN.

The Japanese team, which gained access to the quarter-finals as the second best third, first suffered a tie-break defeat against Germany in the group stage, which was followed by a clear victory against Argentina and, subsequently, the 3-1 defeat at the hands of the United States.

Among the ranks of Japan some well-known faces who have recently graced the fields of SuperLega Credem Banca: from Yuki Ishikawa, spiker who left Allianz Milan in the summer to join Sir Susa Vim Perugia, passing through Ran Takahashi, last year’s hammer of Mint Vero Volley Monza, concluding with an athlete who will play in Italy next season: this is Tatsunori Otsuka, a band that will wear the Milan shirt. Added to these is the opposite Yuji Nishida, seen at work with Vibo Valentia in 2021/22.
