The “Injury Prevention” training course for physiotherapists and athletic trainers will be held on 25 and 26 May inside the ilT Quotidiano Arena in Trento, organized by the Master Sport Business School of Treviso together with Trentino Volley and ten other important sports clubs ( including Modena Volley, Pallavolo Padova, Imoco Conegliano, Benetton Rugby, and Venezia Calcio), with the collaboration of Verde Sport (Benetton Group). A course dedicated to professional sports practice, and which aims to act as a catalyst for the transversal needs of different sports and clubs that find themselves managing male and female athletes, from youth teams to the top of the category. Open to graduates in Physiotherapy and Sports Science and, in some cases, also to third-year students of Physiotherapy and Sports Science, the event arises from the awareness that all sports clubs perceive the usefulness and need to have within of its organization physiotherapists and trainers already trained in the sector.

The main objective of the course will be to explore the world of prevention in the sports universe far and wide, understanding what has been done so far, the goals achieved, the path undertaken and future prospects. Among the questions and aspects that will be most investigated, for example, questions such as: can an injury really be prevented? What tools are at our disposal? Which jobs give the best results?

Among the protagonists of the interesting two days also the Athletic Trainer of Itas Trentino Lorenzo Barbieri and the club’s Physiotherapist Luca Pirani, who in their lessons will delve into the details of the questions that emerge, applying them to the world of volleyball. Specifically, all the actions that a team like Trentino Volley, engaged on multiple fields (national and beyond) carries out to try to minimize the risk of injury will be illustrated: from work in the gym to managing sleep and nutrition.
