The Marche team, thanks to the sharp performances of Fedrizzi (16 points) but above all of Nielsen, top scorer of the evening thanks to 24 winning points, thus found direct promotion to the SuperLega, winning within the walls of Siena 3-1. Ortenzi’s team, after starting in the lead, suffered Siena’s comeback, while the third and fourth sets saw the Marche team overcome the resistance of the Siena team. Not just promotion to the Super League though, because Grottazzolina, by triumphing in the Serie A2 championship, also earns the right to play the Del Monte® Supercoppa Serie A2 within friendly walls against the team that will triumph at the end of the Italian Cup Final Four in program in Cuneo on 11 and 12 May. The Serie A2 championship, however, does not end here, as the A2 Del Monte® Italian Cup will end in May. Over the weekend, in fact, Consoli Sferc Brescia and Conad Reggio Emilia will take to the field for Game 3 of the Italian Cup round of 16. The Quarter Finals are scheduled for Wednesday 1 May, with Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina and Emma Villas Siena among the protagonists.
