Higher pace for the Cucine Lube Civitanova, which is preparing to face the second regional training derby of the week, the third since the start of preparation, the first of the preseason away. After the successes with the maximum difference achieved at the Eurosuole Forum in last Saturday’s test with Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, newly promoted to SuperLega Credem Banca, and in the home face-to-face match on Wednesday with Smartsystem Essence Hotels Fano, newly promoted to Serie A2 Credem Banca , coach Giampaolo Medei’s men will return to the field tomorrow, Friday 6 September, for the second of three matches with Grottazzolina, a team coached by Massimiliano Ortenzi. The appointment is at 6.30pm at the PalaSavelli in Porto San Giorgio.
The two teams will be complete, given the return of the opposite player Dusan Petkovic to the Yuasa ranks, but it is possible that two spikers will remain rested on the bench: Riccardo Vecchi among the hosts, Alex Nikolov among the cooks.
Matteo Zamponi (assistant coaches Cucine Lube Civitanova): “I agree with the concept expressed by Mattia Bottolo after the last test, at Lube there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm and great desire to collaborate from everyone. I noticed this factor already in the first days, even in training we work well. Very hard but with serenity, with a smile and the desire to improve. The pace of activity is increasing and we expect the team to continue to grow in certain aspects as well. We are trying to put into practice during the matches the reasoning made with Giampaolo Medei and which we work on in training. To test our form it is important to have high-level teams in the Marche. Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina has earned the SuperLega and in the next test they will also have opposite number Petkovic, a highly valuable addition. It will be a good test!”.
