On his birthday, the most important job after being director of a team, that is, being its Captain; Daniele Sottile will be the point of reference for A2 Cuneo Volley.
Coach Matteo Battocchio and the Club have placed their trust in him to manage the dressing room during the season, knowing the intensity of the championship that awaits us: « There are various aspects for which the choice fell on Sicci: first of all, the type of person he is and the values he embodies, in addition to the leadership he naturally expresses and the ability to manage locker room situations, but also because we believe he is an excellent link between players, staff and club. All this, combined with his volleyball history with and for Cuneo and what he represents for the young talents of the Club, I think made the choice very simple. Sicci enthusiastically accepted my proposal, aware of the particular importance of the role in a season that will be very tough, where reaching the playoffs will not be a given and where we will have to do a lot in order to be protagonists.”
Captain Daniele Sottile welcomed the task with great enthusiasm, convinced that he will be surrounded by several teammates who will be valid backs during the season: « I am happy and honored to be the Captain of this team, of this City. It’s a role I’ve held in many teams, including this one many years ago, but I was younger and perhaps less aware. I hope to be an example for all the kids, every day in my daily work in the gym, respecting the rules and many other things. I also know that I will have many leaders alongside me this year in this team and I am sure that they will be of great help to me in this role.”
Today ends the first week of preparation, the invitation for enthusiasts and fans to participate in training is always valid and warm, from Monday to Friday from 5.30 pm the doors of the building will be open to anyone who wants to support and support Captain Sottile and the team with their presence in the stands.
