Second winter market operation for Bcc Tecbus Castellana Grotte. In view of the last third of the season, the Apulian team coached by Simone Cruciani and involved in the national Serie A2 Credem Banca men’s volleyball championship is strengthened with the hiring of the spiker born in 1998 Stylianos Tzioumàkas.
195 cm tall, born on March 14 in Thessaloniki, Greece, he arrives from Iraklis Thessaloniki, the club with which he started the current season. An appreciated beach volleyball player, indoors he also wore the shirts of AO Flisvos and Paok Salonika. Preceding him in his Italian experience is his brother Giorgios Tzioumakas, a Greek opposite born in 1995, in Castellana Grotte in the New Mater jersey in the 2017/2018 season in the Super League.
Tzioumakas, who has already arrived in Puglia and who will be immediately available to coach Cruciani, will thus be the third Greek in the history of the yellow-blue club after director Kostantinos Stivachtis (in Castellana in 2013).
“In view of the next important championship matches and in an attempt to recover from a position that is uncomfortable at the moment – commented president Michele Miccolis – we have decided to return to the market by inserting into the roster the characteristics that we imagine can help us to recover. Tzioumakas will be available to the team immediately. For the rest, we remain vigilant to seize other market opportunities and do our utmost to try to achieve the objective of salvation. A challenge that we can only win if we are all together, united, until the end.”
Tzioumakas will wear the number 3 jersey.
