There were many positive notes at Joy Volley at the end of the fifth week of preparation.
In the joint training session with Aurispa Lecce, which took place yesterday on the PalaCapurso parquet and ended with a score of 4-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-21, 25-20), the red and whites showed off good game patterns, confirming the notable progress already highlighted in the midweek test match with Sieco Service Ortona (which ended 3-1 for coach Sandro Passaro’s boys) and drawing, on more than one occasion, the well-deserved applause from the public present on the stands.
Among the protagonists of the clear success over the Salento team there is certainly Sebastiano Milan, who closed his positive performance with 11 winning attacks, 2 aces, 1 block and 60% of positive receptions.
Here are his statements on the sidelines of the match: “We played an excellent test match against a quality team, which will be an opponent of absolute value in the Blue group. Winning is always nice. At the moment, however, what matters is continue to focus on building our game. By maintaining the right attitude shown so far during training, we will be able to grow a lot further, which we will have to face with serenity and the desire to always improve as individuals and as a team.”
For Joy Volley’s next match we will have to wait until Saturday 28 September, the day on which captain Mariano and his teammates will stop at the PalaGrotte for joint training with the BCC Tecbus Castellana Grotte of coach Giuseppe Barbone.
