The weekend just ended brought a lot of satisfaction to Cisterna Volley, capable of establishing itself in the “Team Spirit” tournament by beating Padova at the Tie Break in the semi-final and beating Guaguas in three sets in the final. There are many positive aspects for the collective led by coach Falasca, who have only been working at full ranks since last week and are in the midst of athletic preparation. In fact, in addition to the final victory, two Cisterna Volley athletes were awarded.
This is Domenico Pace, best libero of the competition, a prize awarded in memory of Francesco Rampini, also a libero, who with his example and his passion for volleyball inspired the birth of the event after his death in 2012.
“In this tournament we were finally complete – the analysis of the libero – The sensations I carry with me are excellent. They were not easy matches, we are not yet at our peak physical condition but the victory against Padova was beautiful and hard-fought, where we did well to bring the result home. The next day, repeating ourselves in the final with five sets played the day before wasn’t easy, despite everything we managed to win in three sets against Guaguas. Ours is a beautiful group, personally I am very happy with the path we are taking day after day. In these tests I felt the trust of the team. Now another tournament awaits us where the objective will always be to strengthen our certainties, aware that we will play another tough quadrangular, but we will give it our all for ourselves and for the team.”
At the same time, the setter Alessandro Fanizza, born in 2004, received the award dedicated to the memory of Giampietro Rampini, aimed at the youngest player to take the field in the 4 matches of the program. Last year the award was given to another Cisterna Volley player, Jacopo Tosti (2008).
