As regards the management staff, the Company starts again with a confirmation and a welcome return, two experienced figures who know the red and white environment well. Giuseppe Spernanzoni (in the photo) returns to the role of Team Manager of Volley Banca Macerata after the break of the last championship, “I’m picking up where I left off, with the nice addition of living the season in A2. Vincenzo Grassi, who was Team Manager last year and did an excellent job, will always remain with the team and follow it away, I will take care of the more organizational part. There is a new group, I have already spoken to all the boys and felt they are motivated, for our part we are ready to welcome them as best we can.” How was the first impact with coach Castellano? “Very positive, he is a prepared coach, a great professional and has clear ideas about what he wants. We are developing our chemistry and I am sure we will work well together.”

Spernanzoni will be joined by a volleyball veteran like Vincenzo Grassi, who after having worked for a long time in Lube Volley returned to experience great volleyball together with Volley Banca Macerata last year. This season Grassi will take on the role of Accompanying Manager, “I like being with the team, this was my priority. I’m happy for Spernanzoni, he is an expert manager and will be of great help to the club and the boys.” Your return to volleyball in Macerata coincided with a historic result, “It was a fantastic season, with a wonderful group who always enjoyed playing and training together and who, thanks to this harmony, managed to achieve extraordinary results. Now let’s start again with some of those guys, plus several new athletes, but as mentioned, the group will make the difference: leading the team is a capable person like coach Castellano and here in Macerata the athletes will find a nice environment in which to work ; these are the right elements to be able to do well.”
