A blow in perspective for Rinascita Lagonegro, determined to give ample space also and above all to young talents in this second consecutive season in A3. The profile corresponds to the name of Giulio Parrini, born in 2005, 198 cm tall, a player who is going to strengthen the spiker’s department, i.e. the young player to be molded alongside the older and more experienced ones.

The red and white Club had the merit and timing of winning the performances of one of the most talented spikers around Italy, a hungry 19 year old ready to show off for the first time on the prestigious stages of Serie A.

Giulio grew up in the Vero Volley Monza nursery, where he remained for two seasons between 2020 and 2022: in the first year he placed fourth at the Under 17 National Championships, and in the following tournament he took third place. After completing his experience in Lombardy, he moved to nearby Piedmont, Cuneo, in Serie C (2022/2023 season). His talent begins to explode forcefully: not only does he win the title of Under 19 Regional Champion together with his teammates, but at the end of the final match against Volley Parella Torino (won 3-1) he is awarded MVP thanks to a monstrous performance with 30 points on the scoresheet. They also noticed him in the Federation, when last summer (confirmed in Cuneo) he was called up for a team of the Junior National team.

President Nicola Carlomagno and all the managers did not miss the opportunity to see him at work with the red and white shirt, and Parrini responded presently: “I chose Lagonegro because I believe in the project that the Club has set up and in the staff I want to grow as a player and as a person. Participating in the A3 championship is very stimulating, I will give my best to demonstrate that I deserve this category. Personally, I hope to grow together with the team and make the right contribution It will undoubtedly be positive, I’ve never been so far from home, maybe it will be difficult in the early stages but I’m sure the Lucanian environment will help me.”
