Also for the 2024/’25 competitive season, Volley Altotevere will entrust the responsibility of the physical part to the “wise hands” of Giovanni Collacchioni of the GPoint gym in San Giustino, but with the technical health staff enriched by the presence of Davide Marra: the former Biancazzurro captain will carry out the duties of third coach of athletic trainer together with Collacchioni, while Mirko Monaldi is confirmed in the role of second coach and Dr. Silvia Grazi in that of professional figure who deals with injuries and functional motor and sports re-education. From this year, the kids from the youth sector – in particular some profiles from the Under 17/Serie D group and the entire Under 19/Serie C group – will also carry out the physical part inside the GPoint gym and will be followed by the coaches of the company always under the supervision of Giovanni Collacchioni, very satisfied with the new approach: “A notable leap in quality, I would dare say a touch of class to help everyone – he declared – because a fundamental aspect is adequately guaranteed with the inclusion of Davide Marra who, thanks to the training methodologies and experiences gained on the field in his long professional career, will live in close contact with the players and together we will be able to constantly evaluate the real conditions of the individual athlete, now undoubtedly more followed”. The company confirms the validity of the operation: “We have made some assessments regarding the type of work to be carried out from a physical point of view – writes Volley Altotevere in a note – confirming our relationship with Giovanni Collacchioni and his structure , the GPoint gym; at the same time, we considered it logical and appropriate to implement the staff, also taking advantage of the competence and professionalism of Davide Marra and Mirko Monaldi, who together with Collacchioni will take care of all the management of the physical part. This is because, in evaluating the critical issues of the past season, we realized how important continuous monitoring of the situation is. We are continuing to invest in extremely young profiles, who absolutely must combine physical work with technical work. Unfortunately, in sports culture the physical component is not often considered as important as it deserves and having a person who is dedicated to controlling recovery times, the way in which the tool is used and the correct execution of the gesture is fundamental, so we have decided to expand the staff to guarantee the right service for everyone”.
