Gioiella Prisma Taranto is ready to take the court in the third edition of the “Città del Codex e del Castello” Trophy, one of the most anticipated events in pre-season volleyball. The tournament, which will take place on the weekend of 14 and 15 September at the Pala Brillia, will see the participation of four high-level teams: the Slovenian ACH Team Ljubljana and the Italians Cisterna Volley, Saturnia Acicastello and Gioiella Prisma Taranto.
Competition program
The tournament will begin on Saturday 14 September with two semi-finals, where the teams will face each other to gain access to the final the following day. Gioiella Prisma Taranto will take the field in the second semi-final against Cisterna Volley, scheduled at 7:00 pm. The first semi-final will be played at 5pm and will pit ACH Team Ljubljana against Saturnia Acicastello.
The finals will take place on Sunday 15 September. The final for 3rd and 4th place will be played at 4.30pm, while the decisive match to award the Trophy title is scheduled for 6.00pm.
A high level tournament
The “City of Codex and Castle” Trophy confirms itself as an event of great importance for volleyball enthusiasts, but also for the territory of Corigliano Rossano, which thanks to this event promotes its historical and cultural symbols, such as the Codex Purpureus Rossanensis and the Ducal Castle of Corigliano. The participating teams are ready to put on a show in a tournament that represents not only an important technical test in view of the new season, but also an opportunity to show their potential.
