The headquarters of Gas Sales Energia in Alseno inaugurated the first official moment of the red and white career of world champion central defender Gianluca Galassi.
At the table of speakers present – with the player – Elisabetta Curti, Giuseppe Bongiorni, Hristo Zlatanov, Alessandro Fei and Ninni De Nicolo.
“Galassi is a player – underlines President Elisabetta Curti – that we strongly wanted and I am happy that he agreed to be part of our project. We are a young club but one that has a great desire to win, we are counting on its desire to win to grow and take steps forward next season.”
Gianluca Galassi, in underlining that he was “honored to wear the Piacenza shirt” reiterated that “the desire to win that the club has is the same that I have. Last season with Monza we reached the final in three events and none of them were won, here I want to win.”
The red and white player leaving with the Italian national team for Brazil where the first stage of the VNL will be played, continued: “Two phone calls were enough with Piacenza to reach an agreement, there was a desire on both sides to be married and I’m happy to be part of a serious and top-level project.”
For his part, Vice President Giuseppe Bongiorni expressed his certainty that “with Galassi we have sorted out the central defenders department and we did it in the best possible way, he is a champion both on and off the pitch and this is what we needed. Being friends on and off the pitch is important to achieve certain results.”
Satisfaction also on the part of Ninni De Nicolo: “Galassi is a player strongly desired by everyone and we are certain that he will be able to give us a great hand”.
“We were looking for him – underlines Hristo Zlatanov – even a couple of years ago but we weren’t able to get him to come. Now we have succeeded and I am really happy that it is part of our project.”
He then announced that Hristo Zlatanov was, is and remains the General Director with tasks more linked to the growth of the business while Ninni De Nicolo will become Sports Director with full powers following the line dictated for the next few years, Alessandro Fei is team manager. Luca Rigolon is the new Operations Director with coordination tasks between the various sectors.
