A.S Volley Lube announces that this afternoon coach Gianlorenzo Blengini handed in his resignation obtaining a favorable opinion from the club. This is not a bolt from the blue, but a move consistent with what the coach declared on Sunday evening at the end of the test staged at the Kioene Arena. The coach had taken full responsibility for the defeat for not having been able to give the team the right motivation. Blengini stepped aside in an attempt to shake up the red and white group in view of the upcoming commitments in the 5th Place Play Offs.
Leading the team in the match scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday 10 April (8.30 pm), against Rana Verona at the Eurosuole Forum and for the remaining part of the season will be Romano Giannini, who becomes head coach of Cucine Lube Civitanova, while Enrico Massaccesi will hold the position the role of assistant coach.
The Club’s thanks go to Chicco Blengini, who in his two cycles at Lube won three Scudetti and an Italian Cup, for the professionalism he has demonstrated and the wish that his career continues with the best results.
