Born in 2005, 201 cm tall, nineteen-year-old Luca Galiazzo will be available to coach Jacopo Cuttini’s first team in the next SuperLega 2024_25 season. Galiazzo, a young athlete from Padua, joined the youth sector three years ago, thanks to the collaboration, which has existed for several years, between our Academy and Volley Sant’Angelo.

In recent seasons with Juventus, Luca Galiazzo has shown physical and technical growth which has earned him entry into the youth national teams. As demonstrated by the recent call-up to the U20 Men’s National Team. In the next SuperLega Championship Luca will play the role of central defender.

Luca Galiazzo began his sporting career in the Under 13s in Sant’Angelo. “I started playing volleyball by pure chance, trying various sports”, – says Luca – “The first four years, up more or less to Under 16, I spent at Volley Sant’Angelo, and then continued at Kioene Academy Padua, in the last three years, up to Under 19. In Padua I felt good from the first moments, also managing to reconcile the important amount of training with studying, and growing technically from the first year” .

Regarding the promotion to the SuperLega, Galiazzo declared: “I am very happy to become part of the Juventus first team. It was an unexpected call and a great opportunity for both personal growth and comparison with highly experienced athletes.”

“My goal for next season will be to grow as much as possible technically and learn, thanks to my future teammates and the Padua technical staff,” concludes Luca Galiazzo.
