Gabriele Nelli and Luigi Randazzo are two of the most important summer hits of Emma Villas Siena. Both have worn the shirt of the Italian national team, both have played important seasons in the Super League championship and are now preparing to experience the A2 series tournament with the jersey of the Sienese team. The two players began their physical preparation with Emma Villas Siena in the pre-season training camp in Cascia. Now the boys will return to Siena, where they will begin the new week of training tomorrow.

“I am very happy to have started training again – these are the words of Emma Villas Siena’s opposite number, Gabriele Nelli. – I really wanted to get started. We carried out the first week of preparation, with tranquility and serenity, and the days we experienced were also useful for getting to know our new teammates. I already see a good group, with good energy, and this aspect could make the difference during the season.”

“I’m happy to be here – continues Nelli. – I want to give the best of myself to help the team and the club return to high levels. I already knew some of the guys who are part of the roster, after several years living in the world of volleyball. As training continues we will find our rhythm, we want to get some great satisfaction in the next championship. We have the characteristics to do well, there are important volleyball players on the roster, now we have to form and amalgamate the group and raise our level of play. I think we will see a good A2 championship, there are many teams aiming for the highest goal and therefore the competition will be high.”

“We will immediately try to form a group to start the season in the best possible way – adds Emma Villas Siena spiker, Luigi Randazzo. – Ours is a team that will want to do very well in the next A2 series championship, we have some important names on the roster, the club has made some excellent moves in the summer transfer market. We have quality and experience, now we will have to be good at putting these qualities into play.”

“We will have to be able to find a good level of play and show a good volleyball – continues Luigi Randazzo. – The championship will be very competitive, I’m sure. There will be volleyball players who played in the Super League who have come down to A2 to do well and stand out, and there are teams who want to win the championship. For the moment we must concentrate on this first phase of preparation, the fundamental thing is to be a group, therefore to feel good among ourselves and concentrate on the work to be done. Then the field will give the answers.”
