After the first test on the Volley Tricolore Reggio Emilia field, Gabbiano Farmamed faced Stadium Mirandola on the friendly pitch of PalaSguaitzer, a Serie B team but until last year their opponents in Serie A3 Credem Banca. A test against a team that has set up a roster to try to immediately return to A3, certainly tighter than what we saw last week.
Gola and his teammates won 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-23 partial scores) with good indications for coach Serafini just over a month before the start of the championship. An opponent, the one from Modena, who gave the biancazzurri a hard time in search of the best team alchemy in the moment of increased work in the gym and the inclusion of new players in a staff which has remained gradually unchanged, but certainly revolutionized in some key roles .
In the first set the guests are more reactive and, despite the many errors on serve, they take advantage of the home team’s diesel start and a few too many indecisions. Then Gabbiano shook itself, pushed into attack by Baldazzi and Parolari and in the second free by the excellent free Marini. The wind therefore changes quickly and, leading by two sets to one, Serafini puts the entire bench on the pitch. The whirlwind of changes on one side and the other ended with the victory of the hosts, against an opponent who proved to have little to do with Serie B and who fielded the former Biancazzurri libero Luca Catellani.
