The name of the “after Nunzio Lanci” for the bench of Sieco Service Impavida Ortona responds to that of Francesco Denora Caporusso. A young technician with proven skills, Denora was born in Altamura, in the province of Bari on 5 January 1990.

He spent his first important stints in Lagonegro, as deputy in B1 in the 2016/2017 season and then alongside Paolo Falabella in Serie A2, again with Rinascita Lagonegro until December 2019. In fact, on Christmas Eve the call arrived from Alessano, who were second to last in the standings with only 9 points. His debut as Head Coach in a Serie A team was sensational and at the end of the championship, Francesco Denora achieved salvation, bringing the team to seventh place with 22 points in his pocket.

Mission accomplished also for the following season, again with Aurispa, which in the meantime had become Lecce. The Apulians first achieved a very important salvation in a highly competitive Blue group and then reached the semi-finals of the A2 promotion play-offs.

The excellent results obtained with the Salento team attracted the interest of Mondovì in Serie A2 and thus Francesco Denora landed in the second national series for the first time. Here the miracle fails and the Piedmontese are relegated to A3 together with Sieco.

Cantù senses the opportunity and woos Caporusso who finally gives in and accepts. In a championship without stories, dominated by Tonno Callipo Vibo Valenzia, Cantù will finish second, reaching the playoff semi-final, Italian cup semi-final and super cup final. The excellent results will earn him reconfirmation for the following season.

In the last championship, Cantù will sail in calm waters reaching an easy salvation.

Now a new chapter opens for both the coach and the club. Francesco Denora Caporusso is the coach called to sit on the bench of Sieco Service Impavida Ortona who in the next Serie A3 championship want to find a smile again after the unfortunate past championship.
