Four players from Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza will be protagonists at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the semi-final of the men’s volleyball tournament.
Yuri Romanò, Alessandro Bovolenta and Gianluca Galassi with the shirt of the Italian national team, Antoine Brizard with that of the French national team.
After the legendary comeback of the Azzurri, down 2-0 against Japan which allowed the Italian national team to gain access to the Olympic semi-final at the end of an incredible match which ended in a tie break 3-2 (20-25, 23-25, 27-25, 26-24, 17-15), a few hours later Antoine Brizard’s France came from behind to beat Germany after losing the first two sets: 3-2 (18-25, 26-28, 25-20 , 25-21, 15-13) for the French.
And now in the semi-final, Wednesday 7 August, derby between red and white, given that Italy and France will face each other for access to the final on Saturday 10 August at 1pm. The loser of the semi-final will take to the field on Friday 9 August at 4pm for the final bronze medal.
