Flavio inked with European Champs

The summer market of the men’s Itas Trentino European Champion reserves the most significant and awaited operation right in its tail. In fact, Brazilian middle blocker Flavio Resende Gualberto will complete the starting six, which will be at the starting line of the 2024/25 Credem Banca Super League from the end of September.
The agreement signed between the yellow-blue club and the thirty-one-year-old green and gold athlete originally from Pimenta is on a two-year basis and will allow coach Fabio Soli to have another world-class player at the center of the net. Flavio Resende Gualberto, known throughout the volleyball world simply as Flavio, is in fact a great interpreter of his role, making attack and blocking his strong points. He will guarantee Itas Trentino quality and all the experience gained in the international field thanks to the many competitions played with the Brazil shirt (with which he won five senior and four youth titles) but also with respect to the Italian championship. What will begin shortly will in fact be his fourth season in SuperLega Credem Banca, in which he made his debut in 2021 with Vibo Valentia, before moving a year later to Perugia, with whom in the last ten months he won the Club World Cup, Scudetto, Cup Italy and Super Cup. The statistics tell well the value that Flavio has had so far in all the events played in Italy: 712 points scored in three years, with 174 blocks, 18 aces and 63.7% in attack. In the 2024 VNL concluded the previous weekend he was the third best blocker of the tournament with 33 points, seven more than his future teammate Kozamernik.

Playing and training at a high level has always been one of my most important goals and here I will be able to do it continuously. Our team will start from an important base because, in fact, only one element of the starting six will change and therefore from the start they will be able to produce a large volume of play. I will try to offer further value, putting my best foot forward on every occasion.”
